In Westlake, construction is now complete for 4Mica, the latest development from the team of developer 4Site Real Estate and Tighe Architecture.

The project, which replaced a 1920s commercial building at the northwest corner of 8th Street and Valencia Avenue, features a total of 60 residential units with ground-floor retail space and parking.

A leasing website for the property advertises a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments for rent, as well as amenities including a gym, a spa, and a swimming pool.

Rents for the apartments are listed as ranging from approximately $1,600 to $2,500 per month.

Tighe Architecture's design for 4Mica includes single-story structure facing 8th Street, with a taller five-story apartment block oriented toward the rear of the site. The building closely resembles conceptual renderings, with a blue-and-white exterior and a podium-level amenity deck.

4Site Real Estate, which acquired the development site in 2019, has worked on several other projects with Tighe in Central Los Angeles, including a hotel-and-residential complex in Lincoln Heights and an 81-unit apartment building on San Fernando Road

A similar mixed-use project is now rising less than one block west near the intersection of 8th Street and Union Avenue.
