The proposed project, which comes from an entity linked to Gregory Peck of Beverly Hills-based Crescent Hotel Group, would rise at 4200 W. Century Boulevard, replacing the 135-room Tradewinds Hotel. Plans call for the construction of a new 13-story, 335,000-square-foot building containing:

  • 11 condominiums on floors 9-12;
  • 118 extended stay hotel rooms on floors 7-12;
  • 175 hotel rooms on floors 3-6; and
  • event space, a lobby, a bar, and restaurant space on floors 1-2.

Plans also call for parking for 915 vehicles, located across a seven-level, partially subterranean garage.

The proposed project, slated to stand up to 150 feet, is being designed by CallisonRTKL. Renderings portray a contemporary design, with a building wrapped by digital displays on its lower levels.

Pending approval, construction of 4200 Century is expected to occur over a 26-month period.

The proposed project is one of a growing number of mid-rise hotels in the works for properties in proximity to Intuit Dome and SoFi Stadium, including the $300-million Kali Hotel that recently started construction in Hollywood Park and a proposed 15-story tower near the intersection of Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue.
