A small collection of rental homes just off of Western Avenue in Harbor Gateway are slated for redevelopment with small lot homes, according to a notice released by the City of Los Angeles.
The project, slated for two parcels at 1608-1610 W. 218th Street, is proposed by applicant Rooster Fish, LLC. Plans call for subdividing 18,000 square feet of land to enable the construction of 11 small lot homes with 11 attached accessory dwelling units.
A rendering show a series of contemporary four-story structures, clad in white and orange-painted stucco, accented by tile. Balconies, patios, rooftop decks, and garages are shown on each building.
The project site is located a few blocks to the southwest of a property at 1403 W. Carson Street where a 55-unit apartment building is currently under construction.
Farther to the east in unincorporated West Carson, construction is underway for a $1.7-billion makeover of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
