Another long-vacant site in Gardena is poised for redevelopment with housing, according to an item recently considered by the city's Planning Commission.
The proposed project, which would rise from a corner lot at 2545 Marine Avenue, calls for the construction of a collection of three-story buildings featuring 22 townhomes - including two affordable units.
KTGY is designing the project, which would include a mix of studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom dwellings, ranging from as small as 379 square feet to as large as 1,801 square feet. Renderings depict a series of contemporary stucco-clad buildings with ground-level parking and rooftop decks.
City records list the project applicant as G3 Urban, a Gardena-based firm which has built a number of similar townhome projects throughout the city, including developments now under construction on Rosecrans and Normandie Avenues.
A landing page from the website of Borstein Enterprises, a partner on the project, names it "Marine Place."
