In San Gabriel, framing is now complete for a new mixed-use housing development at 400 W. Valley Boulevard.
Located on a roughly 2.63-acre site a short walk east of New Avenue, the project consists of a six-story complex that will feature 127 residential units - ranging from 650 to 1,360 square feet in size - above approximately 75,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial uses and basement parking for 483 vehicles.
KTGY Architecture + Planning is serving as the project's architect of record, building off of entitlement design by Kollin Altomare Architects. Images posted to the firm's website name the project "The Province," and depict a contemporary apartment block accompanied by a single-story retail building
"Bringing true luxury to the '626' area code, The Province will be the first high-end mixed-use development of its kind," reads a project description. "Its contemporary design brings a modern twist to the traditional neighborhood environment."
Los Angeles County Assessor records list the owner of the property as an entity affiliated with Chateau Group USA. According to the Arcadia-based company's website, completion of The Province was initially expected in 2022.
Chateau Group's other recent projects include a new Le Méridien hotel in its hometown of Arcadia.
