Los Angeles-based architecture firm 64North has revealed plans for a new mixed-use project in East Hollywood's Melrose Hill neighborhood.
The project from Bolour Associates, slated for a corner lot at 4800 Melrose Avenue, would consist of a seven-story podium-type apartment complex consisting of 61 residential units atop parking and ground-floor retail space.
City records also indicate that AFCO is serving as the project's executive architect.
Renderings of the apartment complex, which would sit at the southwest corner of Melrose and Harvard Boulevard, depict a contemporary design with balconies lining the exterior.
The project was submitted to the L.A. Department of Building and Safety for review in December.
The proposed apartment complex follows a recent string of new residential developments along Melrose Avenue in East Hollywood, including a new co-living complex a few blocks west and an affordable housing project one block to the east.
