In Silver Lake, the wrapping is off at the M1 apartments, a new development from California Landmark Group (CLG) just east of the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Fountain Avenue.
Located at 1201 N. Myra Avenue, where it replaced an automobile repair shop, the near-finished development stands six stories in height, and will feature 100 rental apartments above 50 parking stalls upon completion.
California Landmark Group entitled the M1 development using the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines to permit a larger building than would normally be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, 10 of the new apartments will be set aside for rent by extremely low-income households for a period of 55 years.
PK Architecture is designing the project, according to city records. The mostly-completed building closely resembles a conceptual rendering first unveiled by California Landmark Group in 2021.
According to a landing page on the developer's website, the apartment complex will also include a fitness center, a skydeck, a dipping pool, and a spa.
Besides the Myra street apartments, California Landmark Group is also in construction on new developments near Sony Pictures Studios and Century City, and recently initiated an entitlement application for a 108-unit apartment complex near Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.
