Just east of the Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia, framing is complete for a new Hilton hotel from developer VG Properties.

Located at 123 W. Huntington Drive, the new Hilton will include 173 guest rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, meeting space, and a rooftop bar overlooking the neighboring racetrack.

Axis Architecture is designing the hotel, which includes the adaptive reuse of a three-story office building and the ground-up construction of a new six-story tower next door. Combined, the hotel will be 138,000 square feet in size.

The design is described as incorporating the Art Deco look of Santa Anita's main pavilion, with a curving facade and tall vertical windows which wrap the exterior.

The Hilton is the second hotel in recent years to arrive at the doorstep of the Santa Anita Racetrack. In 2021, a 232-room Le Méridien opened directly across Huntington Drive. A third project, a 93-room Tempo by Hilton, is planned next door.
