A single-family home just south of Olympic Boulevard in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood is slated to make way for affordable housing, according to a new application filed with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed development, filed by an entity affiliated with Los Angeles-based Avenue Homes, is seeking approvals for the construction of a four-story building featuring 41 one- and three-bedroom apartments at 4532 W. Edgewood Place. No on-site parking is proposed.

Requested entitlements include affordable housing incentives through the Citywide Housing Incentive Program. The project would be fully income-restricted.

Open Office is designing the building, according to plans included with the filing. Savage Land Design is the project's landscape architect.

Avenue Homes and Open Office are working on similar affordable housing complexes in Historic Filipinotown and North Hollywood.
