New plans have emerged to replace commercial buildings just north of Olympic Boulevard in West Los Angeles with housing.
The project from Los Angeles-based developer Passo, which would rise at 2127 S. Westwood Boulevard, calls for the construction of a new seven-story building featuring 87 one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.
Requested approvals include affordable housing incentives to permit a larger building than otherwise allowed at this location. The project is eligible for city incentives by providing a combination of low- and moderate-income units.

Aero Collective is designing the project, which is portrayed in a rendering as a contemporary podium-type building.
This is the second application involving the property at 2127 Westwood Boulevard. A prior applicant had sought to couple the project site with adjacent properties to the south in a proposal which would have brought 345 homes to the site.
The property also abuts the site of a new mixed-use residential building with predominantly market-rate units at 2107 S. Westwood Boulevard.
The project is one of at least a half-dozen developments which Passo has proposed for Westside neighborhoods, including another West Los Angeles project a few blocks to the south along Westwood Boulevard.
