A proposed multifamily residential development just south of Santa Monica Boulevard in West Los Angeles has cleared the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.
The project, filed for approval last year by David Hanasab of Jenson Capital, would replace a duplex and a single-family home at 10535 W. Missouri Avenue. In their place, plans call for the construction of a new six-story building featuring 39 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments above parking for 66 vehicles.
Planning Commission approval was required for off-menu density bonus incentives and waivers to permit a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, six of the apartments are to be set aside for rent by very low- and moderate-income households.
Mika Design Group is designing the project, according to plans presented to the Planning Commission.
Hanasab, in addition to the Missouri Avenue project, is also developing a mixed-use building a short distance to the northwest on Santa Monica Boulevard near Beverly Glen. That project is also being designed by Mika Design Group.
