In West Hollywood, non-profit developer EAH Housing has completed work on an affordable housing at the northwest corner of Lexington Avenue and Detroit Street.

The Lexington Gardens development, broke ground last year on a vacant lot at 1201 N. Detroit Street, consists of a five-story building featuring 48 residential units, including 47 studio apartments and one two-bedroom manager’s unit.
Apartments range from 384 to 447 square feet in size, and cater to households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income level.
DE Architects is designing the contemporary low-rise building, which includes common features such as a community room, shared laundry facilities, and space for on-site management and services.

EAH has also broke ground last year on a second West Hollywood affordable housing development on Martel Avenue, and has plans for a large development in Downtown Santa Monica.
