A property near the Vermont/Beverly Metro station is set for redevelopment with townhomes, according to a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed project from 146 N. Berendo Street, LLC, slated for a property at 146 N. Berendo Street, calls for the construction of eight single-family dwellings arranged in a row around a common driveway.

Archimorphic is designing the project, which would include two- and three-bedroom homes.

As with most recent projects of the same typology, the proposal at 146 Berendo would utilize the provisions of SB 684 and SB 1123, which speed the approval of townhome-type developments.

The project site is one block from Vermont Avenue, where a large mixed-use apartment complex recently opened on the former site of a car dealership.

The Berendo Street site was previously slated for the construction of a four-story, 15-unit apartment complex.
