A more than 69,000-square-foot new health, wellness and recreation center which includes a fitness center jogging track basketball court, multi-use court, and resort-style pool across a three-story structure.

At the northern side of the campus, work is also complete for a new student dormitory with 288-rooms with single, double, and triple occupancy accommodations. The housing complex can house up to 350 students, and is intended to provide affordable housing for low-income students with funding through the state’s Higher Education Student Housing Grant Program. Also included in the nearly $100-million project is a new 17,500-squar-efoot dining commons.

C.W. Driver also implemented various infrastructure upgrades to the campus, including the installation of new heat pumps and an electrical distribution system.

CSU Dominguez Hills has been on a building spree over the past decades, adding multiple housing and academic facilities. A master plan for the campus could expand those offerings in the years to come, calling for up to 1,000 student beds as well as private development.
