The City of Pomona has signed off on plans to build for-sale housing at the site of a strip mall.
The project from Cape Point Development, slated for a 5.5-acre site at 3101 N. Garey Avenue, calls for the construction of multiple three-story structures featuring 127 two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes ranging from 1,409 square feet to 2,225 square feet in size.
Architeyk is designing the project, which would include a combination of duplexes and townhomes in buildings standing three stories in height.
The rectangular-shaped project site would be broken up with a network of private paseos and streets, and oriented around a private central green space.
The project site was previously entitled for a multifamily residential building containing 289 residential units. The site was sold in May 2025.
Cape Point Development, based in Orange County, also developed the One South condominium complex on Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach.
