Nearly one year after starting work at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Grand Avenue, steel framing continues to take shape for Los Angeles Trade-Tech College's Design and Media Arts building.
Located directly south of the A Line's Grand Station, the new building will be the home of LATTC's Design and Media Arts programs, which includes digital media, fashion design, sign graphics, tailoring, and visual communications.
HED is designing the three-story, approximately 90,000-square-foot building, which will contain classrooms, computer labs, social lounges, gallery space, and other multi-purpose areas. Swinerton, Jacobs, and Vanir rounding out the project team.
The $80-million project is slated for completion in early 2027.
Just south and across Grand Avenue, continues also slowly for LATTC's $100-million Construction Technology Building.
