In Broadway-Manchester, construction is all but complete for a new apartment complex from SoLa Impact.
Triple Main, located just north of the I-105 Freeway at 11630 S. Main Street, consists of a five-story building containing 84 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments above ground-floor parking for 42 vehicles.
The project was approved using Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger building with more residential density than allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, SoLa Impact will be required to set aside 20 apartments as deed-restricted affordable housing at the low-income level.
Envirotecture designed Triple Main, which is a contemporary podium-type building clad in stucco. Plans indicate on-site amenities will include a central courtyard and a rooftop deck.
Triple Main is the first of three SoLa Impact projects in the works for the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood. The South L.A.-based developer recently cleared the future site of a project featuring 121 apartments and retail a block north at Imperial Highway and Main Street, and is slated to build 166 apartments one block west at Broadway.
