New affordable housing is coming to a site a few blocks north of Metro's North Hollywood Station, according to new plans revealed by ATC.
The proposed project from Alliant Capital, slated to replace six apartments at 5633 N. Farmdale Avenue, calls for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 48 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.
In addition to the streamlining provisions of Executive Directive 1, the project would also use density bonus incentives to achieve greater scale than allowed by zoning rules. The apartments are to be reserved for low- and moderate-income households.
Aero Collective is designing the contemporary low-rise building, according to plans.
In addition to the North Hollywood development, Alliant Strategic is currently building more than 700 middle-income apartments at sites scattered across the San Fernando Valley.
