A prolific affordable housing development firm has set its sights on an empty lot in North Hollywood, according to plans recently submitted to the City of Los Angeles.
HVN Development's latest project, skated for a property roughly a half-mile northeast of North Hollywood Station at 5640 Riverton Avenue, calls for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 75 apartments without on-site parking.
As is typical with HVN projects, the apartments will be earmarked for low- and moderate-income renters, making the proposal eligible for citywide housing incentives.
Stockton Architects is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which will be clad in painted stucco.
HVN is developing more than one dozen affordable housing projects within the City of Los Angeles, including under-construction developments in Westchester and Sawtelle.
