Golshan Properties continues its onslaught of new affordable housing developments using the Mayor's Executive Direct 1 (ED1).

The latest project, detailed in a new notice, would replace a two-story duplex and a single-family home located at 144-148 S. Catalina Street in Koreatown. Plans call for the construction of a four-story building which would feature 46 apartments - split into 32 low-income units, 13 very low-income units, and one market-rate manager's unit.

A project description indicates that the approximately 18,000-square-foot building would not include on-site vehicle parking, although parking for 74 bicycles is proposed at the ground-floor.

The project is one of a growing number of ED1 developments currently which have entered the entitlement pipeline, due in large part to the ministerial permitting process offered by the directive.

Golshan Properties alone has proposed more than a half-dozen projects, including affordable housing developments slated for sites in Boyle Heights, Gramercy Park, and Mid-City.
