Three commercial buildings located at the intersection of Robertson Boulevard and Beverlywood Street are set to make way for affordable housing using the Mayor's Executive Directive 1, according to an application submitted late last year to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The proposed development from Ohr Haemet, Inc., slated for a roughly 16,200-square-foot lot at 2600 S. Robertson Boulevard, calls for the construction of a six-story building feature 150 studio and one-bedroom apartments atop 4,488 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and parking for 11 vehicles.
In addition to streamlining using ED1, the project would rely on density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than would otherwise be allowed by zoning rules. All of the housing is to be reserved for rent by low- and moderate-income households.
Metropolis Architecture, a firm responsible for numerous ED1 projects, is attached to design 2600 Robertson.
The project site is located not far from Apple's new campus rising on Venice Boulevard, as well as Culver City Station and Warner Bros. Discovery's offices.
