Steel and concrete continue to take shape at the former site of Gable House Bowl in Torrance, where construction is underway for a mixed-use project from Intracorp Homes.
Located on a 3.8-acre site at 22501 Hawthorne Boulevard, the Gable House Apartments will include 218 studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings atop 12,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Parking for 460 vehicles will be located in a central garage.
The complex is also slated to include 17 affordable units as a condition of approval.
VTBS Architects is designing the project, which is inspired by the post-modern gables of the former bowling alley. Planned amenities include a fitness center, a swimming pool, co-working space, and other outdoor decks.
Other members of the project team include interior designer Preen, Inc., landscape architecture firm Urban Arena, and construction firm Snyder Langston.
Completion is expected in Summer 2026.
Other Southern California projects from Intracorp include a recently-announced plan for 49 townhomes in Alhambra.
