Concrete and rebar are on the rise for a new Executive Directive 1 affordable housing project in Del Rey.

The project from Los Angeles-based developer Passo, slated for a long-empty site 4706 Centinela Avenue, calls for the construction of an eight-story edifice featuring 73 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking.

As an ED1 project which utilized density bonus incentives, the project will be fully restricted to occupancy by low- and moderate-income households, save for a single market-rate manager's unit.

Passo has recently commenced work on similar affordable housing developments at several sites in the Del Rey and Sawtelle neighborhoods.
