A long-vacant lot just north of Palms Boulevard is set to become housing, according to permits issued by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
The project, now under construction at 3451 S. Motor Avenue, is described in a filing as a six-story edifice which will feature 30 apartments above subterranean parking.
The type of apartments and inclusion of affordable units are not clear based on the permit filing.
City records list the project owner and applicant as Shahram Mousavi via the entity 3451 Motor Avenue, LLC.
Likewise, Uriu & Associates is listed as the architect attached the project.
Mousavi is also attached new mixed-use projects planned for commercial boulevards in Harvard Heights and Boyle Heights. Uriu & Associates is designing a larger mixed-use building now rising a short walk to the south on Motor.
