Across the street from BMO Stadium in Exposition Park, the veil is beginning to lift for the Standard at Los Angeles, a new housing complex from Georgia-based developer Landmark Properties that is expected to cater to students at nearby USC.

Located at 3900 S. Figueroa Street, the project will include 429 studio, one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom apartments (amounting to a total of 1,236 beds) above 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Plans also call for preserving five existing townhomes along the eastern side of the property, which will be used as housing for an additional 48 residents.

HED is the architect of record for the development, which includes an eight-story wood-frame structure wrapping a central parking garage. Plans show amenities including a rooftop deck with a pool, a club room, a fitness center, multiple study lounges, and an interior courtyard.

Completion of the Standard is expected in Fall 2026.

The project is one of three in the Los Angeles area for Landmark Properties, including a smaller development now wrapping up work near UCLA and a proposed 12-story tower elsewhere in Westwood on Landfair Avenue.

Landmark is the latest in a string of developers to try their hand at housing for USC students along the Figueroa corridor, joining Core Spaces, among others.
