Redcar Properties is back with more plans for infill offices in eastern Culver City.
On August 28, the Culver City Planning Commission is scheduled to review a proposal from the Santa Monica-based real estate firm for a site located at 5835 Washington Boulevard. The proposed project, which would span the north side of Washington between Dauphin and Ernest Avenues, calls for the construction of a three-story building featuring 46,309 square feet of commercial space atop subterranean parking for 82 vehicles.
HGA is designing 5835 Washington, which is depicted in renderings as a contemporary low-rise structure capped by a rooftop amenity deck and clad in brick.
Information provided at a community meeting earlier this year indicated that construction of the office building would take between 16 and 18 months. At the time, a Summer 2025 groundbreaking was projected for 5835 Washington, with completion slated to occur in late 2025.
Redcar, which completed work last year on a smaller office development on Schaefer Street in the Hayden Tract, also has plans to build offices on a site along National Boulevard near Culver City Station and at a property just south of Washington at 5880 W. Adams Boulevard.
