An initial study published by the City of Arcadia indicates that new housing and commercial uses are coming to a site located just east of Santa Anita Park.
The Arcadia Town Center project, slated for a roughly two-acre site at 5-19 W. Huntington Drive and 25-75 N. Santa Anita Drive, calls for the construction of a five-story, approximately 441,000-square-foot building featuring 181 one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes above 13,130 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 378-car, partially subterranean parking garage.
Humphrey & Partners Architects is designing the proposed development, which would also include four public plazas and resident amenities including a fitness center, clubhouses, and a recreation center. Renderings portray the Town Center as a contemporary low-rise structure.
The project applicant, listed as New World International Investment, LLC in plans, is expected to build the project over an approximately 29-month period commencing in 2026, according to the initial study.
The proposed development would be the latest in a string of mixed-use projects to flank Santa Anita Park, including a recently-revealed Tempo by Hilton Hotel planned on Colorado Place.
New World International Investment and Humphrey & Partners are also working on a 263-unit mixed-use project at 1101 W. Huntington Drive in Arcadia.
