A 1920s single-family home near Barnsdall Park in Los Feliz is set to make way for apartments, per a recent application to the L.A. Department of City Planning.
The proposed project from Commun, which would rise at 1727 N. Kenmore Avenue, calls for the construction of a three-story building featuring eight two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as one accessory dwelling unit.
One of the proposed apartments would be reserved for extremely low-income households, making the project eligible for city development incentives.
A rendering of the proposed development depicts a contemporary low-rise building clad in stucco and stone veneer. Plans show a small rooftop deck.
The project sits just north of Hollywood Boulevard, where recent years have seen the construction of a handful of larger mixed-use residential developments.
