A year after our last update, the white stucco exterior of a new permanent supportive housing complex is all but finished at 2467-2471 Lincoln Boulevard in Venice.
The project, which is being developed by Venice Community Housing Corp., consists of a four-story building that will feature 40 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments on its upper floors. Plans also call for 10 parking stalls and on-site supportive services.
Studio One Eleven is designing the project, called The Journey, which also feature new plaza and a courtyard. Plans also call for new space for Safe Place for Youth at street level.
Other recent projects from Venice Community Housing include a similar supportive housing complex on Rose Avenue, a new apartment building slated for Santa Monica, and a project which would rise from a city-owned parking lot on the Venice Canals.
The project is one of a handful of new supportive housing developments in the Venice community, joining a 98-unit complex built recently by Thomas Safran & Associates on the former Thatcher Maintenance Yard.
