The Los Angeles City Planning Commission has approved a project which would replace a 1950s single-family home in North Hills with townhome-style apartments.

The proposal from property owner Milad Jashneih, slated for a site at 9335 Noble Avenue, would replace the existing home with a three-story building featuring seven rental units. Plans also call for parking for 13 vehicles.

The Commission granted off-menu density bonus incentives to permit a larger building than otherwise allowed on the site. In exchange, one of the townhomes would be rented to a very low-income household.

The Office for Collective Architecture is designing the project, which is depicted in plans with a contemporary look. Plans show perimeter landscaping and a rear yard for the property.
