A short walk from the UCLA campus in Westwood, construction looks just about finished for a new multifamily residential complex from Landmark Properties

The Mark at Los Angeles, located at 10915 W. Strathmore Drive, consists of a seven-story building featuring 37 two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom apartments. In today, the building will feature 166 bedrooms, likely to cater to UCLA students.

A leasing website advertises a mix of private occupancy and shared living arrangements, with prices ranging from as low as $1,359 per month to as much as $4,360 per month.

Those prices will not apply to five of the new apartments, which are to be set aside for rent by very low-income individuals in exchange for density bonus incentives permitting the approved scale of the building.

LOHA is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which is clad in fiber cement boards and corrugated metal panels, and includes numerous setbacks which are used as terrace decks for residents.

Landmark is likely not finished in Westwood - last year, the company initiated plans to build a 12-story housing development on Landfair Avenue. Likewise, Landmark is developing a larger mixed-use apartment complex south of the USC campus in Exposition Park.
