In Alhambra, developer Related California has completed work on a new affordable housing complex in the city's downtown neighborhood.

Lantern Terrace, located at 103 N. Chapel Avenue, consists of a five-story building featuring 44 apartments which will be reserved for households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area medium income level as well as formerly homeless and at-risk transition age youth.

Per a leasing website, the apartments come in a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts ranging between 408 and 1,324 square feet in size. Listed rents range from $923 to $2,005 per month.

Other components of the project include ground-floor community space, a rooftop deck, and on-site supportive services provided by LifeSTEPS.

Other ongoing affordable housing developments from Related California include the Rose Hill Courts redevelopment in Montecito Heights and a proposed 335-unit complex in Downtown Los Angeles.
