Alhambra

Located in the San Gabriel Valley, Alhambra takes its name from a collection of stories and essays by the author Washington Irving called "Tales of the Alhambra."  Starting out as an unincorporated suburb of Los Angeles in the mid-19th century, the current City of Alhambra was incorporated in 1903.  Today, Alhambra is home to more than 80,000 people - a significant portion of whom are of Asian descent.
