Mixed-use project unwrapped at 5217 W. Adams Boulevard

At the intersection of West Adams and Redondo Boulevards, the wrapping is off for another mixed-use apartment complex from CIM Group.

Under construction since 2022 at 5217 W. Adams Boulevard, the project consists of a six-story building that will contain 74 one- and two-bedroom apartments above approximately 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space when complete. The podium-type apartment complex sits above a parking garage.

CIM entitled the site for development using Transit Oriented Communities incentives, allowing for a larger building than zoning rules would have otherwise permitted. In exchange, six of the proposed apartments are to be set aside for rent by extremely low-income households.

Hwangbo Architecture is designing the contemporary apartment complex, according to city records.

The 5217 Adams development is one of dozens of projects from CIM Group in the West Adams neighborhood, including similar apartment buildings at 5109 and 5201 Adams.
