Gardena-based homebuilder G3 Urban has broken ground on yet another project in its hometown.
The new development, named Marine Place for its location at 2545 Marine Avenue, will bring a new cluster of three-story buildings to a long vacant lot. The completed project would feature 22 townhomes in a mix of studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans.
KTGY is designing the project, which was presented to the Gardena Planning Commission for review in mid-2022. The new townhomes were shown as ranging from 379 square feet to as large as 1,801 square feet, with two units set aside for purchase at below market rates. Plans call for a series of contemporary stucco-clad buildings, each featuring ground-level parking and rooftop decks.
G3 Urban, based out of an office not far away on Western Avenue, is also building similar townhome complexes at sites along Rosecrans and Normandie Avenues.
Outside of Gardena, G3 Urban is planning 80 townhomes and commercial uses for a former industrial site just west of Pioneer Boulevard in Artesia.
