One block northwest of Santa Monica and Vine in Hollywood, site preparation is underway for the latest infill office development from from Bardas Investment Group.

Echelon at 1200 Cahuenga, named for its address, would create roughly 75,000 square feet of offices through a combination of the new construction and rehabilitation of existing buildings. The mixed-use development would also include parking for 156 vehicles and 500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

West of West is designing 1200 Cahuenga, while House & Robertson is serving as executive architect and KSA as landscape architect. The finished project would include buildings of up to four stories in height, clad in plaster, cement, wood panels, and tile. Plans also call for a landscaped central courtyard and a series of rooftop decks.

According to a project website, completion of Echelon at 1200 Cahuenga is expected in late 2025.

The project recreates a familiar formula for Bardas, which recently built a similar campus one block north at 6344 Fountain Avenue. The West Hollywood-based firm is also developing larger studio and office complexes at 5601 Santa Monica Boulevard and at the Television Center complex at 6311 W. Romaine Street.
